I replaced 8 old mini light strings in our backyard that had been up about 3 years. They had lots of light bulbs burned out. Within a week many of the new LEDs were not working. Investigation showed many light sockets missing and breaks in the wiring. Then further watching showed that the strings attracted squirrels that love to chew on the plastic of the wiring and sockets that hold the LEDs. Did not matter if the lights were on or not. Expensive squirrel food.
Would not recommend use outside if you have wildlife, like squirrels, racoons; mice and fence rats, etc.

These lights do not have the warm glow that is provided by tradtional twinkie lights. I would not buy them again
